Formatting APS Journal Articles :: Special Cases
These papers describe new methods, new instruments, or new technologies and provide a clear validation and demonstration of the utility of these methods. These articles usually include pictures of a new apparatus or a diagram detailing its construction. Sometimes the authors list a series of equations describing a physiological process (called a model) and then run a computerized simulation of that model and compare it with what happens in real life.
At proof stage, "Innovative Methodology" is listed in the banner line of the article.
These papers are styled and formatted as though they were regular articles.
