The Heart journal publishes Special Medical Editorials, which are contributed by the journal's Editorial Board. These editorials provide commentary by scientists or experts on issues relating to the Heart journal's mission as well as discoveries or topics of general interest to the readers. Journals usually only publish one Special Medical Editorial per issue.
